Upper Cervical Specialists of Atlanta

Precise Upper Cervical Care for Complex Conditions

Upper Cervical Specialists of Atlanta provides gentle, precise upper cervical chiropractic care focused exclusively on the alignment of the upper cervical spine (C1 and C2). Our approach is designed to support neurological conditions such as migraines, dizziness, vertigo, post-concussion symptoms, neck pain, inner ear dysfunction and trigeminal neuralgia by reducing interference to the brainstem and central nervous system.

Our care is not symptom-based — it focuses on correcting the underlying structural cause that may be affecting neurological function.

What Is Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care?

Upper cervical chiropractic care is a specialized form of chiropractic that focuses on the top two vertebrae of the spine, known as C1 (atlas) and C2 (axis). These vertebrae protect the brainstem and play a critical role in neurological function, balance, blood flow, and posture.

When the upper cervical spine is misaligned, it can place abnormal tension on the brainstem and surrounding neurological structures. This may contribute to symptoms throughout the body — even far away from the neck.

Upper cervical care uses:

  • Precise CBCT imaging

  • Diagnostic Tools such as Neck Care

  • Gentle, low-force corrections

  • No twisting, cracking, or popping

  • Pre/Post Imaging (as shown to the left)

Conditions We Commonly Help

Most patients seek upper cervical care after struggling with chronic or unexplained symptoms. All of the other doctor's that they have seen say they are "normal" and all of their imaging comes back "negative". Conditions commonly addressed in our office include:

  • Migraines and chronic headaches

  • Dizziness and vertigo

  • Post-concussion syndrome

  • Trigeminal neuralgia and facial pain

  • Neck pain and restricted mobility

  • Balance and coordination issues

  • Nervous system dysregulation

How the Upper Cervical Spine Affects the Nervous System

The brainstem, which controls vital functions such as balance, coordination, blood pressure, and sensory processing, sits directly between the skull and the upper cervical spine.

Even small misalignments in this area can:

  • Alter neurological signaling

  • Affect spinal fluid and blood flow

  • Create compensations throughout the spine and body

Upper cervical corrections aim to restore proper alignment, allowing the nervous system to function with less interference and greater efficiency.

Our Approach: Gentle, Precise, and Neurologically Focused

At Upper Cervical Specialists of Atlanta, we focus exclusively on upper cervical care. This allows us to deliver a highly refined, individualized approach for each patient.

What makes our care different:

  • Advanced upper cervical imaging

  • Exact measurements tailored to your anatomy

  • Gentle corrections with no forceful manipulation

  • Ongoing monitoring to help corrections hold

Care is customized — there is no “one-size-fits-all” adjustment.

Upper cervical care may be appropriate if you:

  • Have neurological symptoms with no clear cause. Traditional doctor's have not found anything "wrong"

  • Have not responded to traditional treatments. Maybe temporary relief, but nothing that lasts

  • Prefer a gentle, non-rotational approach. The typical response from our corrections is "That's it?"

  • Want care focused on the nervous system, not just pain

Many patients come to us after years of searching for answers
